Food is served daily from 11.00 am till 2.30 pm and again from 6pm till 8.30 pm (we do not open the kitchen on a Sunday evening). 

The main bar area is ideal for a quick lunch, we see many local people on a regular basis - you are very welcome to pre-order! It’s also a friendly atmosphere for a sociable evening meal.

Our main emphasis is on locally purchased ingredients and home cooked food. Some of our more popular dishes are Homemade Steak and Ale Pie, Home cooked ham and free range eggs and our very own Bubble and Squeak.

A wide variety of main courses are on the menu including a selection of Steaks cooked at your table on the Black Rock Grill, There is sure to be a meal to tempt your taste buds.

The Carvery is served in our DownstairZ restaurant but you can eat in the bar if you prefer. Booking is advisable but not essential. There's always a great choice of freshly steamed or roasted vegetables on offer and they're constantly being replaced so they’ll always have all their full flavour. The same goes for our stuffing, gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
